The thing I hate most about humanity is our persistent need to know "why?"
Not everything needs a reason. Time progresses; the world changes; things naturally happen. That's just life.
Why do we always insist on searching for a higher reason? How arrogant must we be to think that we, at an individual level, are of any importance whatsoever to anyone or anything outside of our circle of family and friends? How dare I think that some supreme being, with the entire infinite universe at his or her fingertips, cares so much about me as to lovingly plot out my whole future. And how dare we think that this entire universe was created simply to satisfy our own tiny, greedy, selfish race.
So why are we here? What's the meaning of life? Why do things happen the way they do?
*shrugs*
No reason.
Musings on those things that are never simply black or white: language, politics, religion, psychology, human nature, and life itself.
